CHRISTMAS IN MARCH
When I was a kid, Christmas was so much fun. My aunt would spend Christmas with us and she and my mum would make so many Christmas treats; cakes, pies, doughnuts, flour chips etc. I would help them make the goodies and steal some for myself and my brothers whilst working.
This Sunday, my mum and I did something that made me feel like a kid all over again. FLOUR CHIPS!
Ingredients
1 cup flour
4 table spoons oil
Ginger
Garlic
Onion
Salt
Oil for frying
Method
Crush some ginger garlic and onion
In a large bowl, sieve flour, add half a teaspoon of salt and the oil.
Rub together till it is smooth, crumbly and can hold for a while when clutched in the palms and dropped
Add a table spoon of the crushed spices and a little water to make a firm dough.
Roll up, cut up into thin strips and deep fry in hot oil.
Leave to cool and serve as snack.
Great piece Naa!
