ORANGE CHICKEN SAUCE
There is something special about this dish. It is slightly sweet and yet spicy. You can feel the slight sweetness and also the saltiness. It truly is special and you MUST try it even if you are not found of having your savory dishes taste a bit sweet. YOU WILL LOVE IT
ORANGE CHICKEN SAUCE
Chicken
Tomato puree
Honey
2 Garlic
Ginger
Chicken stock
Salt
Powdered Pepper
Black pepper
Worcestershire sauce (optional)
2 Carrots
Method
Dice up chicken fillet
Ground some ginger, garlic and onion together and use to season the chicken together with some powdered pepper and salt.
Leave chicken covered in a bowl or wrapped in plastic bag whilst making sauce.
Chop garlic and onions.
Mix together one teaspoon of tomato puree, 3 table spoons of honey,
Cook the mixture of honey and tomato puree.
Add 2 tea spoons of Worcestershire sauce and 80oz chicken stock
Add half of the garlic and grate a thumb sized ginger in it, some salt and pepper.
Let the sauce cook for 5 mins
In another pan heat 2 table spoons of oil and fry chicken till the juice dries up and the chicken is cooked through
Drop in sliced onions and the rest of the garlic and leave to fry lightly for about a minute.
Pour in sauce, add salt if needed
Pour in chopped carrots, leave to simmer for a few mins and serve with any accompaniment of your choice.
