RESTAURANT MEAT BALLS SAUCE

Image
With February being the month of sauces, this is a must try. It's good and very easy to make. I made it on Monday morning before work and I was early to work so u can be sure that it definitely is quick to make.  BON APPETITE  INGREDIENTS ¾ Pound Minced Meat 2 Onions 2 small Green Pepper Powdered Pepper Corn Flour 2 Garlic Flour 1 Egg METHOD Season meat with some salt, powdered pepper, (grounded ginger, garlic and onions). Add one egg and 2 heaped table spoonful of flour to meat, mix, drop small balls of meat on a baking tray and bake in a pre heated oven till it is done all through (the meat balls can be fried but cooking them in the oven is healthier). In pan, heat about 2 to 3 spoons of oil, fry sliced onions for less than a minute, add a half of the chopped garlic (be careful not to brown the garlic too much) then add green pepper. Mix a heaped tablespoon full of corn flour with glass of water and pour in then drop in meat balls. Add the rest of the garlic, some powdered...

GLOBAL WARMING

Image
I was really craving for some mushrooms and when I asked where I could get some, I was told they were not in season yet. With all the noise I make about food, you would think I’d know when these things are in season, but it isn’t me; it is this confused weather. Let’s be real, this Global Warming business is no joke. We have been having “Hot and Cold”,” Yes and No” weather so long I’ve lost track of when it was supposed to start raining. So you can imagine how excited I was a when I went to the ‘Commercial Area’ and saw mushrooms sitting on a vegetable vendor’s table. They were not the wild ones but they would do. I could have gone with soup but it would take too long and I really wanted to eat some mushrooms so I made a Sausage and Mushroom sauce and it was great. SAUSAGE AND MUSHROOM SAUCE   Ingredients 8 or more Mushrooms 3 Sausages 2 medium sized Onions Butter/oil 1 large Green pepper Corn Flour 3 Garlic Powdered Pepper 1 thumb sized Ginger Curry Lemon pepper/ mixture of blac...

LA SCIENCE DE FAIRE DU GÂTEAU AU CHOCOLAT

Image
I have been on a quest lately. Gathering date, planning my methodology, conducting alpha and beta tests to get the PERFECT CHOCOLATE CAKE. It was not an easy run. In the process I discovered the following ·          Chocolate cake will burn very easily ·          Sometimes it will refuse to rise ·          Other times it will start to burn on the outside whilst the inside is not really done ·          Sometimes it will crumble ·          I will stick at the base of the baking tray and break up ·          LASTLY APPRECIATE ANY GOOD CHOCOLATE CAKE MAKER Before I say any other thing I must thank my “Guinea Pigs/ Lab rats” for their contribution towards this research. From the people at my office to my mum and Mansa, thanks guys for availing yourselves...

ice cream sandwich

One of the best desserts ever created. I am in love with the originator of this dessert……Ice Ceram Sandwich. I don’t like to go with the tiny sandwiches; I make a large sandwich and cut into wedges. It looks better and can accommodate more layers of ice cream. ICE CREAM SANDWICH 1/2 - cup butter 1 - cup sugar 1 - egg 1 - teaspoon vanilla extract 1-2/3 – flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 - cup cocoa 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 - teaspoon salt 1/4 - cup milk 1/2 - gallon desired flavors ice cream, slightly softened METHOD ·          In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended. ·          Add baking powder to flour and stir flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt together; add alternately with milk to sugar mixture, beating until well blended. ·          Cover; refrigerate about 1 hour. ·          Heat ...
