PIZZA BY YOU

The rules to making pizza the ME way is that there are no hard and fast rules especially about the seasoning
Be generous with the toppings make it cheesy and let it be spicy
It is for this reason that I am not going to give measurements especially when it comes to the topping. Just be generous enough but don’t overdo it if you care anything about your weight.


Ingredients
 
BY YOU Pizza pastry (see recipe below) or Single-crust pastry
BY YOU Pizza Sauce (see recipe below)
Pepperoni/ Sausage
Chicken
Green pepper
Onions
Cheddar Cheese
Powdered Pepper
Garlic
Salt
Black pepper


1.       Roll out pastry into about 1/2mm thick and cut into a nice circular shape
2.       Cut chicken into tiny strips and slice pepperoni.
3.       Steam chicken lightly over low heat with very little or preferably no water, some salt, powdered pepper and black pepper for about 3 mins. You can use any interesting seasoning you like.
4.       Make BY YOU Pizza sauce
5.       In a round baking tray, spread some sauce on top of pastry. Make sure the entire surface is coated
6.       Slice onions and Green Pepper
7.       Season pepperoni with some salt, pepper etc
8.       Spread chicken, pepperoni, and vegetables on pastry
9.       Grate some cheese over it
10.   Pop into oven and allow to cook for between 10-15 mins

Any other Kind of meat or protein can be used as topping, just keep it spicy and fun












BY YOU Pizza pastry

Ingredients

1 cup Flour
25g Butter
A pinch of salt
¼ tea spoon baking powder
Warm water

Method

1.       In a large bowl, sift flour, salt and baking powder
2.       Rub in butter to get a
3.       Pour in warm water, a little at a time until firm dough is formed
4.       Knead dough till smooth and roll out
5.       Fold dough over and roll out again. Repeat this folding and rolling about four times and finally roll out dough about 1/2mm thick



BY YOU Pizza sauce

Ingredients
3 large tomatoes
1 teaspoon tin tomato

2 Garlic
1 small onion
Powdered Pepper
Salt
1 teaspoon butter
Crushed onions garlic and ginger
Soy sauce (optional)


Method
Chop onions and garlic into small pieces
De seed and chop tomatoes
Melt butter, toss in onions and garlic
Add pepper, tomatoes and allow to simmer for 5 mins over low heat
Add tinned tomatoes 2 tablespoons of water and half a teaspoon of crushed onions, garlic and ginger.
Add soy sauce if using.
Allow to cook. Over low heat for about 15 mins
Add salt to taste
