ONE AND A QUARTER
I would have really enjoyed breakfast on Saturday. I made these and they were great, just that my kid brother had just returned home for vacation and he ate almost every one so I think I had one and a quarter. Anyway, I enjoyed it. Hope you do too. GLAZED DOUGHNUT Ingredients 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon Yeast 2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk plus 1/4 cup butter or margarine 3 egg yolks Vegetable oil for frying (Dried fruits; currants etc) Grape jelly Directions Combine flour, yeast, sugar salt and dried fruits (if using) in a large bowl. Heat milk and butter to very warm. Add to flour mixture with egg yolks that have been beaten for about 2 minutes at low speed. You can add some more flour if dough is too sticky Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Roll out dough.
